PRESENTATION:
The presentation of the website is very high indeed. Each point is displayed
on a separate page, with a picture or diagram. The Sentences are short
and to the point, and the keywords or concepts are highlighted as well
as any link to an earlier reference. In addition, the forward and backward
buttons as well as the menus at each level make it
easier to traverse the material presented.
Each concept is geared at a fairly low level, building
up through each section.
Each idea is displayed in an interesting manner, with simple moving pictures
and diagrams, and a degree of the site is interactive. It asks questions
etc., and gives feedback to the user when they submit an answer e.g. Fibres
of the Same Diameter. Thus they are continually learning while having
a moderate degree of “fun”. In addition, this site institutes situations
and scenarios such as the Analogy
of a Telephone Network to make to reader identify with the present
topic or concept and thereby manipulating their understanding.
